WHEN LIFE TAKES A TURN..

When life takes a turn, you can take the leap of your life.

And life does take turns regularly.

Like the moves of a cheating partner, commitment phobic and misleading, exploiting and excruciating.

Like the moods of a caring family member, always by your side, come what may, healing and reviving.

And you do have opportunities to leap ahead, in gloom, or when you bloom.

Positives add but don’t let the negatives drag you down.

Life can betray you, by subjecting you to its excesses.

But you need to remain honest to YOU.

Life is a long term game. Its turns are points of introspection to retrospect.

Make life’s betrayals your motivation and play it cool, with the detached objectivity of an insider.

Don’t be judgemental and revengeful but don’t forget it either.

Don’t fall to the trap of the induced hatred that these turns may throw but don’t miss the motivation it can induce either.

Walk with your thoughts, be in discourse with your soul, let it brew with time, and take a decision to hit back, to slam it hard.

BE DEMANDING. LET THE LIFE BE DEMANDING.

Life – the context to live it like making it matter for you, every day, day after day – life for you – your identity for life – have to be mutually demanding.

Yes, life is demanding, but again, aren’t you demanding?

Don’t you demand from life, from the expectations that you have, from the people that you care for or from the people you don’t even seriously think of, from the circumstances that weave the elements of your life on a thread to make coherent aspects of living or chaotic phases of surviving?

So, don’t crib on life being demanding on you.

It’s a matter of who prevails on whom?

Life plays with you. You also play with life.

Be contemporaries. If you have to have your living in the context of life, your life needs to have its existence in the context of your identity.

Life, at times, may act and sound irrational. Don’t follow it then.

Synergise with the rational elements of life. Be an enthusiast to prevail over its irrational elements.

Go back to who you have been, who you are.

If you haven’t done so yet, start creating the construct of the basics that make for who you are.

Define the rationality in the context of your identity. Let your logic handle the irrational elements of life to work on the possibility of synthesis if possible.

Stop cribbing. Be demanding. Let the life be demanding.

Start playing. Start hitting. Start slogging.

READING SWAMI VIVEKANANDA

I was regular with reading since an early age. I had no particular choice of what I would pick to read. Some magazines and newspapers were in routine. For others, a careful scan of some pages into the ‘print’ would make for my decision. Once, into the written work, if it clicked, I went on to finish the work with full joy of reading.

Now, as I reflects back, I see it as one of the formative processes of being my ‘Self’, for it inspired me to try and think independently of what I read and it guided me on how I wrote (how I would write) my thoughts on the issues I thought over. The teachings have come to stay with me.

In the process, when I was still in the college, I picked up a magazine on Osho, found it interesting, and went on reading it. The reading of the magazine pushed me to read more on Osho. Along with the magazine, I found some books. The Osho reading went on almost for a year.

Yes, interesting it was. But I could not come to correlate with it. But I never reasoned about it. The continued reading for almost a year was more about reading something unorthodox and thinking over it.

Meanwhile, after a chance-event, I had started reading Swami Vivekananda, too.

It happened so that once I was visiting a Ramakrishna Mission hospital. At the entrance of the hospital I saw a book shop selling Vedanta and other works on cultural and spiritual literature. While leaving the hospital, I gave a visit to the book shop. The visit took more than an hour. I read some pages of some books and decided to pick some by Swami Vivekananda.

Swami Vivekananda is known globally for his spiritual views and for resurrecting the pride of the Indian spiritual heritage. I, too, was having this image of Swamiji when I picked up the books from that shop. But it was going to be my first serious reading of Swamiji.

As I started reading Swamiji, I found my ‘Self’ more and more drawn towards reading Swamiji even more. Moreover, I found an instant liking of him, of his life, and of unorthodox and traditional ways.

This happened while I was still reading Osho.

Swamiji and Osho, both delved deeper into the spiritual practices like Yoga and Meditation. But as I read more of Swamiji, I found many points of contradictions in Osho’s viewpoints. When the contradictions created many layers creating a trust-gap, I stopped reading Osho.

Reading a text has to be a text-reading. Try to be as objective as you can be. If you read something, try not to be trapped in its environs, be it negative or positive in the worldly means. Read the work in the context of its writing plot but if you have to think over it, never allow its context to influence yours. I thought so. I think so. I believe it to be so.

While reading Osho, I never thought to follow him. And not just with Osho, it had not happened so to me yet while reading a written work. I still follow this sell-evolved principle.

But Swamiji was the one who became a natural exception to this principle. I read and rewrote my words. I tried to follow his teachings. I came to know my limitations in following Swamiji’s teachings. I consciously made it a point for me to follow my new found attachment earnestly. Also, Swamiji was an important aspect of my connect with her.

But if the inclination to follow Swamiji came to me naturally, equally spontaneous was the fact that I never felt dominated by his teachings. I tried to follow all of his teachings initially but realized I could not. And I never felt sorry for it.

I don’t feel sorry about it for, I know reading Swamiji is more about the ‘Process’ in my life; a life that loves to evolve consistently, a life that tries to live meaningfully, a life that lives severally alone, a life that believes in making sense of its existence, a life that understands what its identity means, a life that knows it needs to contribute for its existence to be one with its identity.

WHEN LIFE MAKES YOU FEEL LOW

Moments of feeling low come invariably in life.

Like life is a random event of a life-span that we try to make methodical by giving it a sense through our living, such moments, too, are random events happening regularly, with established elements of unpredictability behind them.

Like we try to control life by trying to give it an aim, a sense to make a living that stands out individually; that feeds us with elements of identity; that propels us with questions of existence, we need to make sense of ‘what and why’ of the moments making us feel low, making us miserable souls in depressing moments, to take control of them.

Yes, there cannot be a set procedure or practice to overcome such moments. It is simply your resolve that has to say ‘I persist’ whenever you feel the onslaught of life’s erratic flirtations and despondent hibernations.

Yes, it is difficult to do so. But you must realize that feeling low and thinking further about it stings even deeper; sucks even harder; macerates even smaller.

It has to be thought on the way that there is no option but to go down and invite more negativity if you linger more with your depression, if you let the moments making you feel low stay longer, if you value the factors (reasons) hounding in those moments take over you.

In no time, they become lethal enough to take over your thought process, to mess up with your identity, to dwarf your existence, to diminish the sense that you have been making of you.

Can you let that happen? Should you let that happen?

That can never be an option in life. That must never be.

There is no other option but to face them to kill them. The depression of such moments has to have only this validity that they make you think ‘what went wrong’ and ‘why it happened’ and how to tread further.

Feel low, but only to hit back. Pain is always a strong motivator if you can resist successfully the compulsions and temptations of escapism.

Whenever you feel low, you need to persist with the sensibility that gives your life the living you have been working for. Think of who you were and who you are. Think of the body of the work you have put in and let them play dice with the elements making you feel low. Persist. And you shall win.

You have to be in control of your life. Life should not control you.

If you feel low and you allow such moments to take over you, life will make you feel even lower.

Don’t give life that opportunity.

A YEAR COMES..

THE SYMBOLISM OF A DAY

The transition
The symbolism of a day
To look back on
To feel the days gone by

To rehash the milestones
To recap the pains
To read them yet again
To text the symbolism

For the transition
Of a day’s identity
With its past
For its present

To make its tomorrow
The new Today
To renew the life
With a new pledge

To read the life
With a new you

The symbolism
Of a day’s transition
Happening everyday
Rejuvenates your identity

The symbolism
Of a day’s transition
From a year to the next
Is for, to reflect on a life

A year comes for the day
To add new elements
To its identity
With everyday newness

A day comes
To come everyday
To open up the vistas
For you to achieve more
For you to be more of you

A year comes
For every tomorrow
To make your today
For every day
To make your day

A YEAR GOES BY..

Cerebral promises
A year worked on
And a life dedicated
Thoughtful commitment
The quest and its statement

An inner urge to go beyond
It’s been a year worked on
An enlightened journey upslope
A pledge to go for the kill
A sentient resolve to respond

Cerebral periodicals
A year worked on
The seminal dissent
And a call taken in
Outwitting the inimical

A year goes by
A year comes now
An invitation to thrill
An inclination to drill
It is to be the way uphill

A meaningful year goes by
Advent of great days knocks
The music gets subtler
The song gets into the veins
Yes, for the cerebral promises

A year worked on
A year goes by
A year comes now
To be worked on
In the quest to go beyond

LIFE & YOU

LIFE & YOU

LIFE & YOU,
“It’s up to you to remain a mute spectator in the name of destiny or so,
living and leading a subservient lifestyle, or taking on it head on, with a vengeance,
with your emotional fury, with unwavering confidence of Being You,
to tell life that let’s settle scores,
to become contemporaries with mutual respect for each other.”

THOUGHTS..CALLIGRAPHY OF THAT UNSUNG INK..

Life is the relative presence of metathoughts
Death is just a relative absence of thoughts

Happening as it is, happened as it was
Scripting the ride, lost in the celebrated void

Caught in the hide, away to the treacherous jive
The vibrating nonsense, the agitating moondance

Trespassing the soliloquy of you and me and us
Somewhere to the known territory beyond this life

Away from the amorous wilderness, a journey
To the metathoughts where all that is you and me

Where all that is to aspire is the thought of us
Where all that is to be spoken is only through the silence thus

Where absence or presence doesn’t make sense any more
Where betrayal or acceptance doesn’t come to the fore

Life is the relative presence of thoughts of us
Death is the absolute absences of thoughts of us

Happening it is, for-ever it is to be
Air melts, outlines dissolve..

The song gets the spontaneous tune,
A flow,
Weaving the magic of your unspoken words
Attuned to the calligraphy on that unsung ink
Charting the territory of the virgin wilderness

Eyes dig deep, go deeper, to find nothing, but
To be lost again in the magic of us
That tells me,
The beginning of you and me, reliving the joy of
That eternity of us..

Where are you has never been the question
For-ever it is to be, the eternity of us, is the
Only proposition..

Why did you do so does make for thoughts
It ceased to be between you and me a long ago
It was to be, and it is between me and me
Straddling my soul,
In thoughts, with metathoughts
To my territory beyond this life..

DO SO TO GET THE MAXIMUM FOR YOU..

We come and we go.
We are creation of this flow.
Not entitled to stay forever.
We don’t desire to live forever.
Do the maximum that you can do.
Do so to get the maximum for you.
That is a way to look at life.
That is the way to look at life.
Pain,
That we have so often.
Happiness,
That we don’t have so often.
But,
Peace can always be a trusted decision.
We come here to go.
We have so been made part of this flow.
Pain and happiness they come and go.
Don’t cling to any and get the blow.
Life is never in extremes.
So stop taking extreme positions.
Its grey is never absolute.
So stop blaming your dispositions.
Do the maximum that you can do.
Do so to get the maximum for you.
That is the way to look at life.
Don’t fear the death.
It is only the finality.
It is the only finality.
Live your life with this sanctity.
Make tomorrow your today.
Make today your day.
Nothing lasts forever in this flow.
Everyone comes here to go.
Make your life go as you do.
Be at peace when it’s through.

“FOR I FEEL FOR..”

“For I feel for I happened to be someone”
“For I felt I was not that one”
“For I felt I was not who I was”
“For I feel I am who I am”
“For I felt I needed to be someone”
“For I feel I will be someone”

“For I feel I have denied the moments their right to play with me”
“For I feel they still feel they can play with me but..”
“For I feel I feel their despair to loose the winning vein”

“For I feel for the rustles in the layers”
“For I feel for the layers to be living vague identities”
“For I feel for identities that struggle”
“For I feel for struggles more numerous than others..”
“For I feel for that anxious urge of identities to come alone, to go along”
“For I feel for this stasis and resurrection of layers to bind their identities”
“For I feel for this urge of layers to be one in harmony with all the parallelism”

“For I feel for what I felt for who I was,
“For I feel for that co-existence with that subtle parallelism”
“For I feel for that forgotten aspect added to my thoughts”
“For I feel for my Soul to be there for this”
“For I feel for my Soul to be with me”
“For I feel for the urge of rustling layers to be one with..
..to be one with the splutter of the raining beads of thoughts”
“For I feel for I need to feel what I felt”
