ACT OF WAR: NEW SANCTIONS, NEW NORTH KOREAN THREAT

North Korea, the world’s war propaganda factory, has come with new threats of annihilating its enemies after the fresh round of crippling sanctions imposed on it by the United Nations Security Council. The latest round of sanctions is, in fact, very harsh as they target the lifeline of any country, its energy security.

They cut export of petroleum products to North Korea by 90 per cent. To cripple the country even more on this front, export of transportation vehicles, machinery, and industrial equipment has also been banned.

And to complete the economic blockade, as North Korea has termed it, all North Korea immigrants who are working in other countries, are to be repatriated within 24 months. These sanctions, in fact, will be far reaching in isolating North Korea, if Kim Jong-Un, Donald Trump’s rocket-man or madman, doesn’t launch a missile or nuclear attack before that, as his country threatens every other day.

Building up on its war rhetoric, the desperate nation that has been on a spree of testing missile, nuclear and biological weapons, has termed it an act of war, “We define this ‘sanctions resolution’ rigged up by the US and its followers as a grave infringement upon the sovereignty of our Republic, as an act of war violating peace and stability in the Korean peninsula.”

And in the routine North Korean way, they say they are going to punish everyone who is acting its interests. “Those countries that raised their hands in favour of this sanctions resolution shall be held completely responsible for all the consequences to be caused by the ‘resolution’ and we will make sure for ever and ever that they pay heavy price for what they have done,” said a release by KCNA, the official North Korean news agency.

The recent advances made by the country in acquiring lethal weapons and strategic capabilities have emboldened its war rhetoric to unprecedented levels.

After a series of nuclear capable missile tests including the one last month that is being touted as its most sophisticated one and a hydrogen bomb detonation, North Korea has declared itself nuclear power and in fact has termed the demands of terrified US, of North Korea giving up its nuclear weapons, a pipe dream, “The United States, completely terrified at our accomplishment is getting more and more frenzied in the moves to impose the harshest-ever sanctions and pressure on our country.”

NORTH KOREA: TAKE OUR HYDROGEN BOMB THREAT ‘LITERALLY’

A senior North Korean official has warned that the world should take literally its foreign minister’s warning to detonate a hydrogen bomb over Pacific Ocean. In an interview to CNN, the official, Ri Yong Pil, said the world should not dismiss the North Korean threat as “it has always brought its words into action.”

“The foreign minister is very well aware of the intentions of our supreme leader, so I think you should take his words literally,” CNN quoted Ri Yong Pil saying.

The threat was issued last month by North Korea’s foreign minister Ri Yong Ho during his visit to New York for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Ri’s threat followed vitriolic outburst of his country’s dictator Kim Jong-un who called US President Donald Trump a frightened dog and a mentally deranged dotard after Trump threatened to totally destroy North Korea while delivering his maiden UNGA speech.

While speaking at the UNGA on September 19, Trump had warned that if the United States was forced to defend itself or its allies, it would have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea adding that the Rocket Man was on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime. Trump invented the term Rocket Man to describe Kim Jong Un after a series of missile and nuclear tests by North Korea under his watch.

Regular North Korean threats, its repeated missile tests and successful ICBM launch followed by a hydrogen bomb detonation in spite of global sanctions and Donald Trump’s warnings of ‘action on the scale of fire and fury against North Korea’ has pushed the whole world to debate possibilities, ranging from a nuclear war to the Third World War.

Just yesterday, following Kim Jong-un’s declaration that North Korea was a “fully-fledged nuclear power,” the country had issued a warning that it was ready to strike at any moment in its self-defense and the attack would be on an unprecedented scale. Kim Jong-un had written an open letter addressed to different parliaments of the world to make his proclamation warning the world that “it would be a big miscalculation and an expression of ignorance if US President Donald Trump thought that he would bring North Korea, a nuclear power, to its knees through nuclear war threat.”

Reports have emerged that US has put its nuclear bombers on 24-hour alert to meet any emergency, a first since the Cold War days. Trump revealed in a Fox News interview recently, “You would be shocked to see how totally prepared we are if we need to be.”

On September 3, North Korea had detonated a hydrogen bomb in its sixth and most powerful nuclear test to date and Pyongyang had warned of more ‘gift packages’ for Washington which came true when it test fired an intermediate-range ballistic missile over Japan on September 15.

NORTH KOREA WARNS OF ‘STRIKE BEYOND IMAGINATION ANY MOMENT’, SAYS US CAN’T SAVE PUPPET SOUTH KOREA

The article originally appeared on India Today.

Following Kim Jong-un’s declaration that North Korea is a “fully-fledged nuclear power”, the country has now warned that it may strike at any moment in its self-defense and the attack would be on an unprecedented scale.

Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop earlier in the day said she had received a letter from the North Korean dictator, addressed to different countries, which said, “It will be a big miscalculation and an expression of ignorance if US President Donald Trump thinks that he would bring North Korea, a nuclear power, to its knees through nuclear war threat.”

Blaming US and its president for pushing the world towards the Third World War by his foolish acts, a KCNA released said Trump is being seen as a ‘dangerous element’, has aroused worldwide derision and even his key confidants are dumping him.

“As the aggressors and provokers have become all the more undisguised in their hysteric war frenzy, the DPRK’s appropriate actions for self-defense will be taken any moment as a strike beyond imagination,” the KCNA release announced.

Targeting the joint US-South Korea naval drills, North Korea said its repeated tough offensives had put US in despair and horror dealing a heavy blow to the world’s only superpower and the US could no longer help the South Korean puppet forces.

“The South Korean puppet forces should clearly understand that already in hand are the toughest countermeasure of Korean style to cope with the US’ reckless military act,” the KCNA release further said. The war of words between US and North Korea has seen regular war rhetoric but its intensity has really gone up after North Korea’s successful nuclear capable ICBM test and hydrogen bomb detonation.

What has irked the Trump administration even more that North Korea did all this despite a clear warning that US would never allow the country to have an ICBM or a hydrogen bomb.

Reports have emerged that US has put its nuclear bombers on 24-hour alert to meet any emergency, a first since the Cold War days. Trump revealed in a Fox News interview yesterday, “You would be shocked to see how totally prepared we are if we need to be.”

MATTER OF SHORT TIME BEFORE NORTH KOREA IS ABLE TO NUKE US: PENTAGON

The article originally appeared on India Today.

A top US General has said that in a very short time North Korea would be able to attack the US mainland with its nuclear weapons.

During a Congressional hearing of the Armed Services Committee of the US Senate, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford said that North Korea is now capable of launching a nuclear attack on the United States.

“It is the US military’s judgement that it is a matter of a “very short time” before North Korea is able to attack the US”, a report quoted him saying. Dunford informed the Congress that as North Korea has ratcheted up its war rhetoric to unprecedented levels, the US should plan accordingly.

Dunford, who is a Marine Corps General, added that the US Defence establishment is deploying 21 more missile interceptors in addition to 44 already in place and has spruced up intelligence on North Korea. While saying so, Dunford said that despite escalating its war rhetoric, North Korea has not changed its military posturing and the US forces are watching it closely.

While speaking at the UNGA on September 19, Trump warned that if the United States was forced to defend itself or its allies, it would have no choice but to totally annihilate North Korea adding that the Rocket Man was on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime.

ROCKET-MAN WHO?

Trump invented the term ‘Rocket Man’ to describe Kim Jong-Un after a series of missile and nuclear tests by North Korea under his watch.

In response to Trump’s warning, Kim described him as a gangster fond of playing with fire and displaying an unprecedented rude nonsense one had never heard from any of his predecessors.

He further said that Trump was a mentally deranged dotard, a frightened dog who barked louder and North Korea knew how to tame him. Kim concluded his statement by saying that the North Korean fire would surely and definitely tame Donald Trump. The country later also warned that it may soon detonate its most powerful hydrogen bomb yet over the Pacific.

This prompted Trump to term Kim a madman. He said that Kim Jong-Un was a madman who didn’t mind starving or killing his own people and for his acts he would be tested and punished like never before. Trump further added that de-nuclearisation was the only acceptable future of North Korea and later on signed an Executive Order imposing more sanctions on the nation.

Earlier this month, on September 3, North Korea had detonated a hydrogen bomb in its sixth and most powerful nuclear test to date and Pyongyang had warned of more ‘gift packages’ for Washington which came true when it test fired an intermediate-range ballistic missile over Japan on September 15.

AFTER KIM JONG UN’S OUTBURST, NORTH KOREA NOW TRIES TO PUT DONALD TRUMP IN THE DOCK

The article originally appeared on India Today.

After Kim Jong Un’s vitriolic outburst that called Donald Trump a frightened dog and a mentally deranged dotard on his warning to totally destroy North Korea, North Korea is now trying to put Donald Trump in the dock for his “thrice-cursed sophism”.

In a reaction to Trump’s maiden United Nations General Assembly speech, KCNA, the official news agency of North Korea, has said that Trump’s speech has shocked not just the United Nations but the whole world.

Trump’s speech has been widely panned by media outfits and world leaders and that may have given North Korea a chance to browbeat its own propaganda, even if Trump didn’t mean it so and it was just a bad choice of words, something that usually happens with him.

Commentaries and reports in publications like The Washington Post, CNN, Financial Times, The Guardian and reactions of leaders like UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, French President Emmanuel Macron, Hillary Clinton, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and many others termed Trump’s assertions wrong and miscalculated. They found Trump’s remarks could give rise to fatal misunderstandings as Guterres put it.

A Washington Post commentary said that Trump’s words implied that he threatened not just to uproot the North Korean regime but the entire nation along with its people while The Guardian wrote that Trump’s language cannot be seen as funny as “he controls a nuclear arsenal powerful enough to annihilate humanity several times over.”

Declaring Trump’s remarks as heinous and something that something “that can be uttered by the boss of gangsters rather than by a politician”, KCNA added in its release that “the international community was raising voices of denunciation, being deeply concerned about such outbursts and wild words as “total destruction” of a sovereign state, not just “overturn of social system” and “regime change”.

LATEST IN DONALD TRUMP – KIM JONG UN WAR OF WORDS

In the latest, Donald Trump has concluded that Kim Jong Un is a madman who doesn’t mind starving or killing his own people and for his acts he will be tested and punished like never before.

Donald Trump’s warning came after Kim Jong Un lashed on him for his UNGA speech. Trump said that denuclearization was the only acceptable future of North Korea and later on signed an Executive Order imposing more sanctions on the nation.

In response to Trump’s warning, Kim described him as a gangster fond of playing with fire and displaying an unprecedented rude nonsense one had never heard from any of his predecessors.

He didn’t stop at this. He further said that Trump was a mentally deranged dotard, a frightened dog who barked louder and North Korea knew how to tame him.

And like Donald Trump had warned North Korea last month that if it escalated nuclear threat, it would be met with fire and fury like the world had never seen, Kim concluded that the North Korean fire would surely and definitely tame Donald Trump. North Korea also warned that it may soon detonate its most powerful hydrogen bomb yet over the Pacific.

TRUMP WARNS KIM JONG UN, A MADMAN, WILL BE TESTED LIKE NEVER BEFORE

Kim Jong Un, the North Korean dictator, is a madman who doesn’t mind starving or killing his own people, US President Donald Trump has concluded and therefore he will be tested and punished like never before.

@realDonaldTrump – Kim Jong Un of North Korea, who is obviously a madman who doesn’t mind starving or killing his people, will be tested like never before!

Donald Trump’s warning came after Kim Jong Un lashed on him for his maiden United Nations General Assembly speech that spoke of totally destroying North Korea if it didn’t fall in line.

The government of the Rocket Man, another term invented by Donald Trump to describe Kim Jong Un after a series of missile and nuclear tests by North Korea, also warned that North Korea may soon detonate its most powerful hydrogen bomb yet over the Pacific.

NORTH KOREAN PATIENCE TESTED..YET AGAIN?

North Korea, ratcheting up its already ratcheted up rhetoric, has SENT OUT yet another clear warning that it will be full scale war on any given day if the US and South Korea continue with their audacity of disturbing the North Korean poise.

Now we should appreciate this poise by North Korea.

After all, despite having sent so many feelers, so many stern messages and so many clear warnings FOR DECADES, the great North Korean leaders, so far, have desisted (and RESISTED) from embarking on even a small military skirmish..except firing some artillery shells or cross-border shots, except allegedly sinking South Korean naval vessels, except laying landmines in the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone between North Korea and South Korea) that keeps on wounding South Korean soldiers and except violating South Korean territorial waters.

Shouldn’t it have been difficult for North Korea to calm its nerves so as to remain the world let in the green zone of no war in the region?

But for how long can their patience be tested?

Whenever such times come, we see a prompt warning from the quiet leaders of the hermit kingdom who believe in living an isolationist, quarantined way of life, away from the materialist creations that a modern, technology driven society brings. The North Korean leaders have consciously shunned the materialist advances of a consumerist world to stay close to nature. So even if the world has moved to 5G smartphones, North Korea is jolly happy to savour the luxury of video cassette and CD players in the country. And they are a prized possession. Only few in the country has the outreach to possess these, the tech antiquities of the modern day world.

And now, the times have created yet another instance when the Kim nation has been FORCED to issue a stern warning to the world. Like every sovereign nation believes, the North Koreans, too, believe that they have the sovereign rights to develop the warfare that can keep their way of life safe from the worldly intervention. SO WHAT if the world doesn’t believe that the North Korean missile or nuclear programme is not peaeful and aimed at self-defense.

KIM NATION’S MISSILE JACK FOR A TRUMP HACK

The ‘Kim Nation’ under the efficient leadership of the third Kim, Kim Jong-un, extending the legacies of his grandfather, Kim Il-sung and father, Kim Jong-il, has fired another shot at its arch-enemy, the United States of America, with the successful test of ‘a cutting edge’ missile, details of which are not out yet. (Okay, this was the scene also in February 2015 when North Korea had conducted a missile test, though that an ‘intelligent, cutting-edge missile.)

On February 8 that year, the elite nation of the elite ‘Rogue League’ of the selected world nations, test fired an ‘ultra-precision’ anti-ship missile of highest technological sophistication (as it claimed). As was said, the third Kim was personally monitoring the exercise, timed before the annual joint military exercise of South Korea and the US, and commended his team for the ‘zero error’ technological expertise, and thus for sending a befitting warning to his rivals.

Then, it was a clear cut warning signal to the world under the leadership of the world’s most powerful person, Barack Obama, the US President since 2009, who had become an eyesore for the dear plump leader.

Now, it is to give a message, again to the most powerful person on the Earth, again the US President, but a different one, Barack Obama’s successor, who doesn’t believe in playing the world’s leader’s role. (Irrespective of the fact that his credentials to prove is leadership role back home look thrown in some perpetual crisis, thanks to his life and lifestyle.) Anyway volumes have been written on him and much more is to come.

As expected (as happens every time), the Sunday morning test launch by the ‘elite rogue’ is already a global headline, pushing the international media including the US into an overdrive, aimed at undermining the North Korean achievement by spinning stories on ‘design, effectiveness and technical details’ of the missile.

Weeks after the February 2015 test (and every time), reports and analyses kept outpouring. It always extends celebrations of these so-called supreme achievement in the hermit kingdom. The North Korean elite believe any sustained negative international media coverage is acceptance of their country’s increasing might. At the same time, the North Koreans also find the hollow rhetoric of the frustrated global forces including the US a good source of funny points to laugh over.

Hitting on the jack provided by this yet another lethal addition in the North Korean arsenal, the official North Korean media had then, in the February 2015, declared that Barack Obama was feeling so low with the beaming images of Kim Jong-un that he tried to hide his irritation by indulging in a senseless and gaudy ‘selfie act’.

KCNA, the North Korean state media had reported, “Though the partisan US and international media are publicizing the exercise as a promotional event for Obamacare, a health programme, the always credible North Korean intelligence sources say it was a diversion prescribed by Obama’s psychiatrist seeing his heightened level of frustration over the latest North Korean achievement. Now, as the US has no might to take on the supreme forces of North Korea militarily, its leaders are indulging in propaganda acts like this, where they vent their frustration by making gestures as if they are targeting out Supreme Leader, the Commander of the all powerful North Korean forces. Pity them.”

Obama’s successor, who sounds like arch-enemy and has vowed to undo everything ‘Obama-esque’, especially the Obamacare, has reacted on this North Korean act (or bravado, as the sense goes), in his trademark business sense, saying he is 100% behind Japan (South Korea, too, would be expecting some reassuring words). But there is no harsh rhetoric yet. The White House, like it likes to say, has said that it is aware of the missile test and is closely monitoring the situation.

It is being widely analysed and reported that it was a North Korean warning for Donald Trump and also an exercise to gauge how the next White House administration to be when it comes to dealing with the elite of the ‘Rogue League’. Let’s see how it plays out – like a ‘jack’ or a ‘hack’.

THE YOUNG KIM HAS SPOKEN AGAIN!

The Young (and Plump) Kim says his Rogue Nation is in the final leg of launching a nuclear capable Inter Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) that will be as ballistic as his tenure and words have been, ever since he took over the reins of the Rogue Nation in a December five years ago from the Great Rouge, who, in turn, had inherited the Rogue Nation from the Greatest Rouge ever walked in that part of the world.

Now it is another thing that this Young (and Plump) Kim can surpass even that Greatest Rogue in Rogueness.

Every Rogue of the Rogue Nation, be it the Greatest Rogue or the Great Rogue or the Young Rogue, have had this dream that one day their Roguness will go beyond the Greatness they already have once they have an ICBM that can carry weapons (including state of the art Rogue Nation’s nukes) to the Mightiest Nation on the Earth.

And they have been practicing it since ages – weighting for that moment to arrive.

Like it happens, the whole nature has conspired to derail that dream of the Greatness of the Rogue Nation.

But they have toiled hard. And have been consistent with their efforts.

Be it the Greatest Rogue or the Great Rogue or now the Young Rogue.

So while cementing their position as the undisputed representative of their people, giving them that rare hope to look at the bright side of life, something that no one knows when was last seen in the lives of the commoners of the Rogue Nation, they are also continuing with the mammoth cost that goes in building the Rogueness of their lands. Obviously, theirs must be very, very heavy hearts.

So, if the people of the Rogue Nation are making great sacrifices, their representatives are setting even bigger an example.

They are together in this quest it looks – the representatives are giving hopes – even if it means by coercive measures, as happens in case of larger societal interest – and people are buying those hopes, because they have no other option – after living a life of extreme hardship that the nature has forced them into.

Hope is the only trending commodity in the Rogue Nation available in abundance, thanks to the persistent efforts of its Rogues.

And how consistent the Rogues have been with their efforts becomes visible from the fact that the global community has been hooked since ages to any development that comes out from the Rogue Nation’s nuclear programme and its warning messages on how the nukes riding on the Rogue Nation’s great ICBMs will wreak havoc in the Mightiest Nation on the Earth.

And like they are developing their nukes and ICBMs and are on the brink of breaking-even, as the Young Kim (Rogue) let us know in his New Year message, they have been consistent with dishing out their messages, packaging them in ever more interesting formats, to let the world know that when it will be, how big it will be – the Rogue Nation’s wrath on the Mightiest Nation on the Earth.

And even in doing so, so diligently, they never forget the welfare side of it – of giving hope to their people – who are told that these messages are true and the Rogue Nation has already decimated the Mightiest Nation on the Earth – and is preparing for even great greater a feat.

They are practicing it. And in the larger interest, they are making their people practice it.

Immune from all – from the words coming out from the Mightiest Nation on the Earth – even if it is from the Mightiest Person of the Mightiest Nation as he asserted yesterday that the Rogue Nation’s ICBM won’t happen. He tweeted, “The Rogue Nation just stated that it is in the final stages of developing a nuclear weapon capable of reaching parts of the Mightiest Nation on the Earth. It won’t happen!.”

These headlines once again confirm the ferocity of ‘the baby-face, tenderly chubby, Dennis Rodman loving ‘hermit’, who also orders entire families to be killed, entire communities to be starved to death.’

These headlines from the global news outfits once again reaffirm steely might of Kim Jong-un, the young though oversized ruler of the ‘hermit kingdom’, North Korea.

Kim Jong-Un tells the world he is still there, and in style.

For past few months, in fact for more than a year, Kim had remained subdued – out of public’s eyes – but he was consolidating his position. Those North Korea watchers know it. After all, a visionary like Kim Jong-Un, though plump sized, covers even the finer details of his empire’s various symbolisms. In this case, probably, he was trying to live the ‘hermetic’ spirit of his ‘hermit kingdom’.

In his carefree ways, he was not bothered at all, in fact, he basked in the glory of the global media burning its midnight oil over analytic reports on his ‘disappearance’ from public life. There were reports on a possible coup, reports on his sister taking over, reports on Kim being dragged down by some serious health problem, reports of powerful North Korean generals successfully hatching a plot against him.

Loads were written on each of them – thousands of words literally flew – from one part of the world to the other – and Kim enjoyed each of them – with his ‘maintained’ silence. After all, his ‘professional’ mind believes that any publicity is worth ‘going for’ – no matter what it takes.

And what could be better than this that the global media powerhouses, which are seen as the gold standard for any communication material, day in and day out discuss him – for any reason – even after his ‘mysterious’ public disappearance for some days.

We may call it propaganda but Kim Jong-Un (and even his predecessors, the two other ‘Kims’ of the Kim nation) has a well-oiled communication system.

South Korea is a regular element in its routine packages. And whenever Kim feels to go global, like he did during the ‘Sony Hack’ saga or when he decided to execute his uncle Jang Song Thaek by machine gun firing squad after his ‘wisdom’ told him that his uncle was in fact a ‘despicable human scum, worse than a dog’.

Or like this renewed nuclear threat!

This is one of the ‘tried and tested’ North Korean publicity (one is free to read it as propaganda) tool to pull global attention and the Third Kim is getting mastery over it – incident after incident we have seen so.

So, even if the world had intelligence input for two years that North Korea was restarting its Yongbyon nuclear facility, when Kim finally said so, and openly, it made for global headlines. Obviously, he doesn’t speak his mind directly. There is a well laid and expansive system for it – the Korean Central News Agency. And Kim has followed his predecessors in ensuring that the ‘mighty provocative line of words’ is followed without fail – even if it means firing KCNA staff and anchors by missile death squads to discipline them.

The latest round, as well, goes to the ‘shrewd ways’ of Kim Jong-Un. Since this ‘artfully packed message’ came out, North Korea, Kim Jong-Un and North Korea’s nuclear capability are all around in news analyses and reports.

And what validates it is a response by North Korea’s arch-enemy, the United States of America. Kim had again made Barack Obama’s America to react to North Korean ‘designs’ in less than a year.

After all, running an empire is not an easy task, especially when it is by a single family that is there for 70 years. And the Third Kim is efficiently taking that ‘legacy’ forward, in style – though, the world may debate its ‘substance’.
