BURNING SCHOOLS IN KASHMIR: WHERE IT IS AIMED AT?

The ongoing Kashmir crisis is in its 109th day. And by the attitude of the Indian government, it has become clear that it is not going to budge when it comes to the demands of the so-called freedom of Kashmir, something that is nothing but Pakistan sponsored militancy and propaganda to snatch Kashmir from India.

Now, the whole world, including Pakistan knows that it is not going to happen. But Pakistan would always want to inflict as much damage as it can, and it has found handy tools in Kashmir’s separatists, pro-Pakistani civilians and terrorists to exercise its sinister designs.

All these tools, in coordination, or in isolation, try to perpetrate acts that could compromise the Indian sentiments in Kashmir.

An important part of that militancy and propaganda is to drag Kashmir’s every upcoming generation away from everything that can propel it to think rationally about where its future lies. And a rational mind can never go with Pakistan, a fractured nation with an increasing notoriety of being a rogue nation that employs terrorism as its state policy.

So, the whole emphasis would be on killing this rationality.

The phase of insurgency that began in Kashmir in late 1980s has consumed a generation of Kashmiris. Post 2000, there have been attempts and development has seen some growth, including tourism, the mainstay of Kashmir’s economy. Excluding few instances, there has been an atmosphere of relative peace, even if gun sponsored.

HOW GENERAL ZIA-UL-HAQ CREATED AL-QAEDA

According to this video clip from a Pakistani news channel, General Zia-Ul-Haq, Pakistan’s military ruler from 1977 to 1988, chose a group of 100-200 mercenaries from group of prisoners in Saudi Arabia who had been given death sentence by beheading to start its offensive against Russian invasion of Afghanistan.

Now Saudi Arabia follows the concept of Islam where blood money can rid you of gallows. Someone who has been awarded death sentence, if he pays monetary compensation as agreed by the victim(s), his life is spared. This practice is widely misused, especially by the wealthy.

General Zia chose such prisoners making it clear to them that General Zia now owned them and they had been given a lease of life to work it in the service of Allah. And the task was to wage war against the USSR’s invasion and rule in Afghanistan. That was the beginning of era of Mujahideens in Afghanistan that still haunt the world.

After the Afghan war ended in 1988, these mujahideens organized themselves in different groups giving rise to terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda in 1988 and Taliban in 1994, the beginning of the modern terrorism warfare in the world that has spread across the continents now. And according to history, something that this video clip also talks about, its seeds were sown by General Zia-Ul-Haq.

WHY THE WORLD NEEDS POLICING EVEN MORE

— Two deadly terror strikes in France – office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket store were targeted this January – and multiple coordinated terror strikes in Paris killing over 120 people in the worst terror strike in France and the worst on a major western power after 9/11 – and two more attempted terror strikes were thwarted, a planned attack on a concert and one on an Amsterdam-Paris train – and France is a major world power

— The worst time to fear that the war theatres of terror are expanding to other peace time nations after the lull of 9/11

— Sporadic events in some other European countries – continued dastardly terror strikes in India – pre and post 9/11

— Terrorism deaths in last few years – multiplying rapidly now with emergence of the Islamic State and the outfit’s increasingly global designs

— Terrorism deaths in state-sponsored terrorism – in countries like Pakistan, in many civil war torn African nations and in many tyranny-ridden Middle East countries

— Increasing civil war theaters – with failure of Arab Spring in countries it took place, except Tunisia

— Deaths in civil war theaters – Yemen, Libya, Nigeria, Somalia and many more countries across the globe – the human crisis is at its deafening levels now

— Deaths in ethnic wars/clashes – Christian and Muslim clashes in Nigeria and elsewhere – Shia-Sunni clashes panning countries, symbolized now in the IS

The powers that be must intervene without fail. The geopolitics of domestic concerns is no more a guarantee that terror will not strike you next.
